Sanyo M9996

The Sanyo M9996K, sold in the year 1980, was a good quality 4-speaker boombox equipped with AMSS music search, twin VU meters, and jacks for Phono, Line In, and Line Out. Its tape deck has a frequency response of 40 to 15,000 Hz when using CrO2 tape. It looks very similar to the Sanyo M9998, but it's smaller. Here is a comparison of specs:

M9996 = 582x245x173mm, M9998 = 664x267x175mm
M9996 has 12cm woofers and 5cm tweeters, M9998 has 16cm woofers and 5cm tweeters.
M9996 takes 8 D-cells, M9998 takes 10.
M9996 makes 2x10 watts "music power" (not RMS), M9998 makes 2x12 watts "music power" (not RMS).
M9996 has one antenna, M9998 has two.
M9996 has LED meters, M9998 has needle meters.
