The RT-8840 (also called BomBeat 14) was a ghettoblaster from Toshiba. It was probably introduced in 1979 or 1980, before Toshiba quality began to suffer. Its controls have a good quality feel. And unlike the BomBeat 16, it has good bass. It measures 503 x 362 x 125 mm (with the handle up). It weighs 5.8 KG without batteries.
