This is the Sony CF-490S from the year 1976. I believe it's the same thing as the CF-1990 that was sold in the Japanese market for 49,800 Yen. The only difference is that the CF-1990 is 100 volts and it has black rivets around the speaker instead of silver.

It has a 20cm woofer and a 5cm tweeter. Output is 5.5 watts on DC. The bass is very good, better in fact than most of Sony's stereo models. It has lots of features for a mono, including Loudness, Mic Mixing, CrO2 and FeCr tape settings, Auto Rewind and Repeat, and adjustable bass and treble. Frequency response is 50 to 10,000 Hz on Normal tape, 50 to 13,000 on CrO2, and 50 to 14,000 on FeCr.
