The TRK-8300 was a midsize ghettoblaster from Hitachi. It was made in 1981. It measures 496 x 281 x 169 mm. It has 4 speakers (12cm woofers/2.8 ohms, 3cm tweeters/4 ohms). It has a digital clock in the upper left corner, and left and right VU meters in the other corner. The label on the tape door says 16 watts, but that must be "peak music power". The service manual says RMS power is 2x5W @ 10% distortion.

Regional model variations included the TRK-8300E, TRK-8300H, and TRK-8300HC. The service manual can be purchased HERE.
