Toshiba RT-9990SM

This Toshiba RT-9990SM ghettoblaster (also called the "BomBeat New 9"), was sold only in Japan only, and is therefore 100 volts only. It shares many parts with the Toshiba RT-8890S Bombeat 16, but it was more expensive and more powerful. It has 6 watts per channel according to the EIAJ/DC standard, while the 8890 only has 5. And the woofers are 18cm instead of 16cm.

MQMS

It has a very unique music search feature called "MQMS" (Music Quick Multi Selector) with 14 buttons above the tape deck which are used to select tracks. Here in this photograph I have lit all the LEDs, but that's just for fun, there is no purpose in doing it.
