This ghettoblaster is from 1980. It has 18cm white woofers with lots of nice chrome trim around them.

Sharp GF-9494

The GF-9494 was introduced in 1980. It measures 556 x 310 x 136 mm, and weighs 7.9 KG without batteries. It looks very similar to the GF-9696, except it only has 4 speakers instead of 6, and it has analog meters instead of LEDs. It has 18cm, 4 ohm woofers and 5cm, 4 ohm tweeters. The GF-9494X has chrome center-caps and a red "22 watt" badge. The GF-9494H has black center-caps and a black "13 watt" badge. But don't be fooled, they both have the same amount of power: 2x6 watts RMS (Sinus). Both have the same amplifiers (two Hitachi TBA810SH chips). This model is well-built and feels sturdy, but it's big and bulky, so it needs to be well-cushioned to prevent damage during shipping. Unfortunately most of them have scratched paint above the tuner window.

In Japan, this boombox was called the GF-505, and it has a few differences. And there's also a re-branded version called the NASA 1200GX DJ-573.

If you need a battery door for this model, you can buy a 3D-printed one HERE(external link)
