The Zenith R97 is probably a fairly rare boombox, because I only found 2 in a Google image search. The service manual is dated 1981, but the styling on this model looks more like 1978 or something like that. Who knows. Anyway, this model has 4-inch speakers and "Extended Stereo", which was Zenith's version of Stereo Wide.
