One of <a class="wiki" href="Sharp" rel="">Sharp</a>'s most successful boombox line is their GF-777 (and other variant) models. Featuring 4 front facing woofers (2 regular and 2 super-woofers), they had alluring looks that just screams POWER, must-have, beauty, quality, etc. It's not the most loved boombox because in truth, love is subjective but there's no question that this was popular back then, and still one of the most popular and collected boombox models around. At the top of the triple-7 variant heap is arguably this domestic Japanese variant; the GF-1000. Features a very attractive cobalt blue grill over dark speaker chamber, white woofers and chrome dust caps, it is definitely a looker. As a domestic japanese model, the tuner has an expanded FM tuner (76MHz to 108MHz) which tunes all of the Japan FM range and still covers all of the international FM range as well, which is not unheard of, but certainly a but on the rare side as Japanese boomboxes go, which frequently only tunes from 76-90Mhz rendering the tuners virtually useless for international FM reception.
