This SA-PM27 mini "shelf" system was made by Panasonic in the late 1990's, I believe. Like all Panasonics, it has trustworthy quality and restrained styling.

It is a bi-amp'd system with separate amps for the highs and lows. The speakers are 3-way affairs which include side-mounted subs. You will need to place them next to a wall to get the most bass. If you put them inside a wood bookshelf close to the walls of the bookshelf, they will produce huge boomy bass.

It has a 5-disc cd changer, a top-mounted cassette deck, an AM/FM tuner, and Aux RCA inputs on the back. The front face is one big mirror plate, which looks awesome.
The only drawback to this system is that every time you power it on or off, the CD changer mechanism cycles to see how many CD's it has, which undoubtedly produces more wear and tear on the mechanism.
