The AS-580 was a 3-piece mini/micro/shelf system from Gradiente of Brazil. We think it appeared in the mid-2000's. It is very good-looking, with its gunmetal control face and its dramatically vented subwoofer grills. It has a 3-CD changer (which can play MP3, CD-R and CD-RW), and dual tape decks. The main unit measures 270 x 332 x 425 mm (L x A x P), and the speakers measure 265 x 330 x 405 mm. The speakers have separate wiring for the subs, so we think it's probably a bi-amp system. Output power is quoted at 240W RMS (2x 40W per channel plus 2x 80W for the subwoofers), but I doubt it. Manufacturers have plenty of ways to cheat when reporting output. Like they might test only one channel at a time, instead of all of them together like they should.
