Review of the Victrola VBB-10-SLV, a bluetooth speaker styled to look like a vintage boombox. It even has a tape deck and an AM/FM tuner!

Victrola VBB-10

This Victrola VBB-10-SLV is a 1980's style boombox that was introduced in 2018 by Innovative Technology. It's nearly identical to the Innovative Technology ITBB-1980i, which was introduced way back in 2010. They basically took that and replaced its iPod dock with a cassette deck. Oh and they added Bluetooth too. But everything else is the same. Same exact styling. It seems odd that they would take an 8 year-old design and sell it again with very few changes.

The AM/FM radio has a stereo light, so it's safe to assume it provides stereo. And it has an old-school tuner needle, retractable antenna, and dual power output meters. It also has 3.5mm aux-in, USB and SD card players, and a headphone jack. It can be powered by either a standard AC cable or by 8 D-cell batteries (plus 2 AAA batteries for clock backup). According to the owners manual, its power output is 2x5W RMS at 10% THD. Supposedly it measures 17.87" x 5.31" x 9.44". The speakers look bigger than they really are. They're really only about 3 inches in diameter. It looks like it has tweeters too, but I've never actually handled this product in person, so I don't know if they're real or fake. Someone on Amazon claimed they're fake.
