Sony CFS-65
Sony introduced the CFS-65S in 1979. They must have sold quite a few of them, because you can find one on Ebay nearly every week. It measures 44 x 25 x 12 cm, and it weighs 9.0 lbs without batteries. It has 12cm woofers and 5cm tweeters. According to the service manual, its power output is 2x2W at 10% distortion, on DC operation. The amplifier chip is a Sanyo LA4125.
Like most Sonys, the build is good, with good quality plastic, nice-feeling controls, and plenty of metal trim. And like most Sonys, it has unique styling, with nice wheel-like spokes behind the speaker grills, and twin LED meters that move in the same direction, like the ones on the Sony CFS-F5.
As for sound quality? Well, the one I own isn't very impressive. There isn't much bass at all, which is typical for Sonys of this time period. And it only has a Tone knob. For the best sound quality you should use the "Line In" inputs, and use your phone's EQ to increase the bass.
