New Wave Toys RC-M90 Mini Blaster

In 2022, New Wave Toys decided to create a modern remake of the JVC M90 to sell alongside the 80s style arcade game replicas they offer. They launched a Kickstarter campaign in early 2020, and started shipping the products in early 2022. The sheer number of features they had to get right was amazing. Not only is it a faithful replica of the M90 down to the very last detail (including working antennas, tape door, and folding handle), but it also offers 5 audio sources to choose from (Bluetooth, USB, SD card, 3.5mm aux, and FM radio operated with a real analog tuner dial). It is powered by a 20,000 mAh battery to ensure loads of play time. Inside, it has heavy 3-inch speakers with rubber surrounds. These speakers are each mounted in a separate sealed enclosure, which enables them to pressurize the passive radiators facing the rear. The result is very clean and powerful sound for such a small device.
