Karcher RR-512

From the German company Karcher comes this RR-512 ghettoblaster. It's almost identical to the JGC RRMP-3500 and the Elta 6921. In photographs, it makes a good first impression. It is rare to find something manufactured in 2015 with a cassette deck, let alone TWO of them. It also has a CD player, a 4-band radio tuner, Aux In, and a USB port. It is 66cm long and takes eight D-cell batteries.

The owners manual says there are 4 speakers: 2 tweeters on top, and 2 bigger speakers in front. It does not mention any speakers on the left and right sides. However there are "grills" on the left and right sides, labeled "Power Drum" and styled to LOOK like grills. So either they're fake speakers, or passive membranes. Whatever the case, Amazon reviewers say the sound quality isn't very good. Specifically, lack of bass was mentioned.

Users also report poor build quality. It weighs only 5.7kg, which is less than a good midsize boombox from the 1980's. Users complain of loud mechanical noises from the tape decks, buzzing noises from the CD player, and random delays between functions.
