The Explode 5000 is probably the longest boombox from the 80s, at almost 45 inches long!

Conion Epsilon EP-008

This is the Conion Epsilon EP-008, nicknamed Explode 5000. It's probably the longest 80s boombox, measuring 44 3/4"W x 12"T x 8"D. It has a 5-band equalizer for each channel, and adjustable "surround sound." Interestingly, it looks like there are 4 detachable speakers instead of only 2. eek surprised

The one in the photograph below is owned by Dave Rivera, owner of the Bumpboxx store at the Galleria at Tyler mall in Riverside, CA, where you can buy some of the biggest and loudest bluetooth speakers known to man.
