Tesla Condor K304
This ghettoblaster was produced in the late 1980s by Tesla in Czechoslovakia. Some people say it looks like the Philips D8614. While that may be true, they do not share any parts. The cassette mechanism was made by the Polish company Unitra, and uses a 3-motor design (the 1st for moving the head assembly, the 2nd for spinning the pickup reel, rewinding and fast forwarding, and the 3rd for spinning the capstan). The circuit boards were manufactured by RFT in East Germany. The capacitors were from different manufacturers depending on availability: Tesla, Frolyt, or Iskra. The amplifier chips are Tesla MBA810, an equivalent of the TBA810. There are four of them in a bridge cofiguration. It has very good power.
It was offered in different colors, including silver, gray, and red. These photos were provided by collector Jara.
