This is one of the rarest Sharp boomboxes. Probably because it was so big, heavy, and awkward to carry.

Sharp GX-33Z

I believe this is from the mid-late 1980s. It is huge, at 94cm long. Oddly, all 3 pieces are made of particle board (pressed-wood). Normally, manufacturers made the center unit from plastic even if the speakers were wooden. But in this case, they made the center unit wooden too, probably to support the large and heavy speakers (a plastic center unit might have cracked under such stress). It is quite a large and impressive model, with good sound too, judging by the Youtube video I watched. Unfortunately, the build quality is not very impressive. The Russian blog "Magnitolia" (see link below) has photos showing there's a lot of empty space inside. And the tape decks are made of cheap pot-metal instead of the heavy zinc-plated steel used in earlier boomboxes. They look almost like Lasonic decks. But remember, quality had declined after the early 80s. On a positive note, the amplifier is quite powerful.
