Sankei TCR-S90
This boombox is from 1982. It's basically a re-branded Toshiba RT-S83. It's big (63x32cm), but it's not loaded with excessive bling. Instead, it has a simple, masculine, take-no-prisoners, "gladiator" appearance. Perfect for pounding out some heavy metal!
It has 6-inch, 3.2 ohm woofers and 2-inch, 4 ohm tweeters. The feature set isn't particularly advanced. There's no music search, no Dolby, no recording-level adjusters, no high-speed dubbing. But it does have big VU meters, shiny chrome, and shoulder strap attachment points. It's also one of the only boomboxes with 2 headphone ouputs. Each of them can play a different music source. This means there are two function switches, one for each headphone user. (Note: The "MKII" version of the TCR-S90 does not have this feature).
The TCR-S90H has traditional RCA input and output jacks, while the TCR-S90EE has a DIN jack instead. The EE model is 220 volts, while the H model has both 110 and 220 volts.
