The SK-900 was Pioneer's top of the line boombox in 1981. It has a sealed passive radiator system, and an FTC minimum of 8 watts per channel from 60Hz to 15,000Hz into 8 ohms @ 5% THD.

Pioneer SK-900

The SK-900 is a big, heavy boombox from Pioneer with four 12cm speakers (2 are active and the other 2 are passive), which are mounted in a sealed airtight enclosure. Its build quality and sound quality are very good. According to the service manual, it produces an FTC minimum of 8 watts per channel from 60Hz to 15,000Hz into 8 ohms @ 5% total harmonic distortion. Remember, that's only the minimum. Most manufacturers only provided the maximum (like "RMS Max"). Or even worse, a theoretical peak output ("PMPO") that was completely fabricated.
