From the year 1983 came the Denon H5, a very rare and high-quality boombox. It measures 613mm long, and had a suggested retail price of 94,800 yen. It has detachable speakers, and the amplifier can be separated from the tuner/cassette deck. Output power is 20 watts per channel on AC, according to the EIAJ measurement standard. The speakers are 2-way units with bass-reflex ports and thick-walled wood construction. They are rated for 4 ohms, 20 watts input, 40 watts max.
