A mini boombox from Aiwa with DSL

Aiwa CS-250

The CS-250 was a "mini" boombox from Aiwa, introduced in 1983. It has Aiwa's Dynamic Super Loudness (DSL) feature. Interestingly, Aiwa's advertisement (shown below) says that it has detachable speakers, but that's incorrect. When you look at the back side you can clearly see that it's just a 1-piece box. It measures 478 x 159 x 139mm. The detachable speakers contain 10cm woofers and 2cm tweeters. Wow and flutter is 0.08% and the tape frequency response is 40Hz to 15kHz using Metal tape. It takes six D-cell batteries.
